KAYCIE ERICSON, M.ED CANDIDATE

VILLAGE PRACTICTIONER IN TRAINING (INTERN)

Therapeutic Approach: Kaycie is an intern at The Village of Kairos and is still developing her therapeutic approach. She currently has a family systems approach which considers the individual in addition to their interactions with their family. She also integrates attachment theory and DBT into her work.

Educational History: Kaycie graduated from Lee University with a B.A. in Psychology and Counseling. She is now attending graduate school at Trevecca Nazarene University seeking her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling.

Certifications/Experience: Kaycie interned at a therapeutic riding center that incorporated equine-assisted therapies primarily working with children and adolescents. She has also completed advanced training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention as well as actively receiving training in DBT.

Favorite Self Care: Getting out in nature, taking care of her plants, listening to music, and laughing at cute animal videos

Hobbies: Hiking, snuggling with her rabbit, walking her dog, dancing, crafts, and working on a puzzle
