We offer a variety of therapeutic practices to assist you in acquiring the critical skills you need to live mindfully, gain mastery over your emotions, handle distress, and develop healthy and supportive inter-personal relationships.
We start your journey through an initial consultation and intake session so you have a full understanding of what happens in each step of your healing and restoration.
To acquire these important skills and experience restoration, we offer these specific treatment options: Individual DBT Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy / Individual Trauma-Focused Therapy, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, and In-The-Moment Coaching.
Our Individual standard therapy provides one-on-one support with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. This is an opportunity to explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through significant memories, identify aspects of life that might need to change, better understand yourself and others, and set goals.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) was developed for people who experience very intense emotions. Being “dialectical” means finding the synthesis between opposing thoughts or ideas. DBT follows four modules: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. DBT helps clients both accept their reality and change unskillful behaviors to build a life worth living.
At the Village, we recognize and understand how traumatic experiences can impact a person’s well-being. With our trauma-focused therapy, we work with clients to feel supported in better understanding, coping, and processing the emotions and thoughts related to the traumatic experiences. We want to help you create a healthier life after the traumatic experience and to build resilience so clients can have a life worth living.
The Village of Kairos offers services to families who are in crisis. This is what we call our “Village Model”. It is a Comprehensive DBT Program for the entire family!
It is our mission to restore family’s dynamic through therapeutic practices grounded in validation, mindful body awareness, and behavioral change. We believe that it takes a whole village to restore a family and that it takes tremendous courage to begin the healing journey.

Couples Therapy allows those in relationships to address concerns in a supportive and safe environment. Through couples counseling, a variety of topics can be discussed such as communication, building or rebuilding trust, exploring constructive ways to navigate disagreements, exploring intimacy, and much more.
At the Village, our DBT Skills Groups are psychoeducational training groups in which skills are taught in the areas of Mindfulness; Emotion Regulation; Distress Tolerance; and Interpersonal Effectiveness. To begin the process of receiving services from the Village of Kairos, we require a consultation! During this virtual consultation, a staff member will go over our services, policies, and procedures. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions. We look forward to working with you to find the best services that fit your needs.
Upon completing your consultation & deciding to move forward with services, you will be assigned to a Village practitioner who will become your primary therapist. Therapists are assigned to clients on Mondays and will reach out to schedule your intake session promptly!
