KRISTA GRAY, M.ED., NCC, LPC-MSHP (TEMP)

ASSOCIATE CLINICIAN

Therapeutic style: Krista understands that therapy is a big step and one that requires trust and vulnerability. She believes a large part of the work and healing involves creating a therapeutic bond that allows the client to feel comfortable being sometimes uncomfortable.

Areas of interest: Krista loves working with teens and adolescents, especially those who may have preconceived notions or do not want to partake in counseling but are willing to give it just one shot. She also works with parents, couples, and individuals, and is trauma-focused. Krista is very passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Modalities:  Krista is trained in comprehensive and adherent DBT, trauma-focused DBT, and EMDR, with a strong commitment to ongoing training and development in these areas. Additionally, she is actively pursuing knowledge in sensorimotor psychotherapy.

Experience: Krista received her B.S. in Pre-graduate Psychology from MTSU, and graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University with an M.Ed. in Human Development, concentrating in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has her NCC, and her LPC-MHSP (temp) license. Krista did a dual internship at Lipscomb University and The Village of Kairos. She is also on the board of directors of two psychotherapy non-profit organizations in the greater Nashville area.

Hobbies: In her free time Krista enjoys hanging out with family, meditating, and yoga.

Strengths: Empathetic, non-judgmental, discerning, friendly, uses humor in practice.
