Dr. Eduardo Rocha, M.Min - ThD

Therapeutic Style:

 Dr. Eduardo Rocha is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) certified Christian Clinical Counselor who provides assistance to his counselees mainly in the areas of: Addictions, Childhood and Teenage Traumas, Pre-Marital Counseling, Marriage Crisis, Suicidal Ideation, amongst other types of needs that may require assistance and a fresh Biblical perspective in order to learn how to deal with every day challenges. He is trained in the “Creation Therapy” counseling technique that studies the general behavior patterns of each temperament and how it affects every aspect of our lives. Dr. Rocha is an empathetic counselor with a main calling in his life and profession, and that is: assist and empower his counselees in achieving long-term emotional and spiritual well-being.

Educational History:

Dr. Rocha received a Bachelor degree in Theological Studies in 1991 from the Christian Biblical Center College of the Assemblies of God of Uruguay, country from where he is native born. In 2016 he received a Master in Christian Ministry and a Doctorate in Theology; degrees he obtained from Emmanuel Theological Seminary from Miami, FL. He is presently pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Christian Clinical Counseling from Heritage International Bible College and Seminary from Crossville, TN.


Dr. Rocha is presently a member of the National Christian Counselors Association of America based in Sarasota, FL, entity that has certified him to practice as a Christian Clinical Counselor. He holds credentials from The General Council of the Assemblies of God from Springfield, MO as an Ordained Minister since 2010 and is also accredited as Military and Corporate Chaplain from the Assemblies of God Chaplaincy Ministries. All together he has 32 years of Christian Ministry and Counseling experience which includes; 23 years of Pastoral Ministry (15 years in Uruguay and 8 years in the U.S.) and for the last 9 years he has served as Military Chaplain with the TN State Guard; Correctional Chaplain in the TN Department of Correction, and Corporate Chaplain in the construction industry.

Populations of Interest:

Dr. Rocha has a deep sense of gratitude and debtorship towards the United States of America. He lived in the U.S. in the decade of the 80’s for a couple of years and after experiencing a very traumatic but transformational season in his life he returned to Uruguay where he raised a family and began his ministry until they immigrated to the U.S. in 2010 after being hired as an Associate Pastor & Hispanic Community Liaison for a local church in Mount Juliet, TN. In his ministries as Pastor and Chaplain, he has served both, the English speaking community of Tennessee as well as the Immigrant Spanish speaking community, therefore he perfectly understands both communities thus being totally and completely suitable to treat cases on both contexts.

Favorite Self-Care:

Dr. Rocha enjoys walking while listening to either gospel, classical or opera music and loves to travel (preferably driving) with his wife to meet new places and people.


At this particular season in Dr. Rocha’s life he delights in spending time with his partner, friend and companion of the last 32 years of his life, his dear wife Sandra with whom they are both passionate in spending as much time as they can with their three granddaughters, Chelsea, Melanie and Sophia.


Dr. Rocha has lived in his personal life many traumatic and life-threatening experiences that places him in a very optimal position to be able to counsel others not only from the standpoint of the knowledge but also from the perspective of the personal experience. He has a beautiful gift, which is to be able to personally relate, sense and feel deeply the pain, frustration, guilt, and sense of unworthiness that many people experience when they seek counsel. This gift helps him understand more and more that what he has received by grace he also must offer by grace, thus serving as a compassionate and empathetic counselor with the passion and most devoted desire to see others succeed in every endeavor of their lives.
