Samantha Lacheta, Counselor Intern

Therapeutic Style:

Samantha is driven by her passion to serve and help others. She believes that we all have “something” going on in our brains at all times, and the key is to help clients figure out what their “something” is or what their family member’s “something” is, and to develop skills to help each person to be able to live their best life individually and with one another. She believes in treating each individual holistically, from a non-judgmental, empathetic, open-minded, place of hope and healing.

Educational History:

Samantha has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tennessee State University and is currently on track to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in December 2021. She is also a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society.

Certifications/Experience:

Samantha is currently receiving training in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Training (DBT).

Samantha is also a Certified Pre-Marital and Marriage Counseling SYMBIS Facilitator.

Populations of interest: Adult and Adolescent HFA/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)/Asperger’s Syndrome, trauma, depression & anxiety, marriage/couple’s counseling, and other adolescent and adult life issues.

Favorite self-care:

Anything outdoorsy in nature, cooking, binge-watching sappy Rom-Com movies, murder mysteries, singing shows and cooking shows, spending time with my husband and kids, meditation/mindfulness, prayer, serving at church, anything spa related 😊

Hobbies:

Photography, singing (not in public), gardening (or at least attempting not to kill pretty plants), traveling,  cooking/baking, anything in nature
